This morning was womens bible study at my church. Before we began the study we heard from 2 women who just returned from a Missions Trip to India. One leaving her husband and the other leaving everything she knows., to proclaim the name of Christ before thousands of people.
As I listened to their testimonies of the "thousands" 6000 to be exact of those who came forward to accept Jesus as Savior, I was blown AWAY~ WOW...these Indian people were THIRSTY and HUNGRY for the Word and the saving knowledge of Jesus.
As Jenny was speaking this morning, one women raised her hand and asked " When you say they came forward and accepted Christ, what exactly does that mean, they all denied themselves and admitted they were sinners and prayed the prayer?" Jenny replied "EXACTLY. When they GRASP something, they really understand what it means and go after it"
How often do we have the spirit of "disbelief"...Believing that "well maybe 2 or 4 people will accept Jesus in our church this year" Or are we even thinking about evangelism? Are we consumed with our "issues" and our "additions on our houses" or "our need for more?"
As I sat it my seat, I was praising the Lord for His redeeming work in these peoples lives. People that I can't see and probably will never meet this side of Heaven, but who will be rejoicing with me on Streets of Gold beside Crystal seas~
I also was thinking, here is a nation a country who is not bound by the enormous amounts of money they bring in weekly, or consumed by the need for "MORE" whatever, they are a nation that is "poor" and "poverty stricken" and can see PAST all the stuff, that we can't seem to see past, simply because they do not have it~ I was blown away and just so excited to hear the good news of these precious Indian people, coming to the SAVING KNOWLEDGE of JESUS~
Our GOD IS MIGHTY TO SAVE~

So now its one year later!

It has been almost exactly one year since I posted anything on this blog site~ I suppose it is time to be more consistent~ And that is what I shall do~
So I will just sum up the past year in a nutshell and then we will just move forward from there.
Lets see.
Shortly after Kayce turned 1 we received news that D.A's position at Wheaton Academy, was not longer needed. After much prayer and consideration and job searching, we stayed in the area and D.A took a job with Wheaton Christian Grammar School as Athletic Dir. / Teacher. We had a fun filled summer full with family visits and trips to the zoo ( several zoos) In June we found out that we were expecting our second little bundle of joy~ We were very excited. However, the Lord had other plans for our lives. In August we learned that the baby did not develop much past conception. Shortly after that I had a D&C and my body was clean from any infection. We were very sad, but continue to feel a peace from the Lord, that HIS plans are greater than ours. Someday we will see our angel baby in Heaven~
The Fall was filled with MANY volleyball trips, fun times with the girls and parents, and a lot of FROZEN pizzas. We love volleyball season for many reasons. Its a great time to get out of the house, we love the moms and the girls, and we enjoy seeing D.A at the end of the day. The girls did pretty good this year. We are losing 2 key seniors, but we look forward to next year.
Winter, well we are still experiencing that here~ It has literally snowed almost every other day~ INCREDIBLY long winter~ I really look forward to seeing the sun shine and being able to enjoy the outdoors again~
Backing up a little bit~ On Dec. 6th we took a pregnancy test, and the LORD is in HIS goodness, has blessed us again with another baby~ We praise HIM for another chance, and His mercy and grace on our lives~ I waited until 7 weeks to tell ANYONE, that was very difficult for me to do, but somehow I did it~ We told all of the family over Christmas and we had a wonderful visit with our families~ What a great time of rest and enjoyment~
Kayce turned 2 on Feb. 11th. As I was reading our last blog, I realized that I thought 30 people was alot, we this year we had 60 people for a 2 yr olds birthday~ But it was great~ Everyone pitched in and it went some smoothly~
I guess that brings us up to speed with life of the Nichols Gang.
I am currently selling Pampered Chef and really enjoying the flexibility and extra money. Not to mention I love PC products~ D.A is about to start the boys volleyball season so we look forward to that~ Let's see, I am 16 weeks pregnant and feeling AWESOME~ I have been scrubbing and cleaning EVERYTHING, I mean everything. The back side of the handle on the refrigerator - WHO DOES THAT? Apparently, when I am overwhelmed with mounds of energy, I DO~
I will try to do the best with posting pics from last yr to now~
Keep checking in with us, as I promise to be more consistent~!

Today was my birthday. Many people say that when you have a child and your birthday comes along, you almost forget that it's "YOUR DAY." I beg to differ! I had an awesome day and about 21 phone calls from friends and family ( I didn't count or anything) I got 100 bucs in the mail, a wonderful dinner date with my husband to WENDY's, yes I said Wendy's and trip to the mall to buy some new clothes. I received a beautiful pair of earrings in the mail, along with a Hymnal I had asked for. It was a wonderful day! My friends Dave and Esther offered to watch Kayce, which allowed us to enjoy eachother! Such a wonderful birthday. And yes, I am a quarter of a century old, which everyone loves to remind me. HOORAY I'M 25~ I am excited to see what this new year hold for me.

Kayce Joyale turns 1 !!!!
Well, it's been one year today that our little lady was born into the world!! I cannot even believe how quickly the time has gone by! Kayce is such a joy to both D.A and I and we are blessed to have the priveledge to raise this little girl! We had a birthday party for her today and about 30 people came! I was a little unsure how they were all going to fit in our place, but it worked out just fine!! As I was getting Kayce into her highchair I made sure to call my parents in NJ and D.A's parents in WV. IT WAS TIME TO SING, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" The thought never crossed my mind to CRY when singing this song, it has always been a joke and a smiley song. NOT TODAY! I couldn't even get through the song. Why did I cry? I cried because we were surrounded by people who love our LITTLE GIRL! One year ago, she was not even here, and one year later SOOO many people love her! She is ours. It was just emotional, but so exciting!!
I am thankful to be a mom! I love it to death! I pray that the Lord would be the forefront of all of our decisions and that Kayce would grow to love HIM!
